HOMEMADE Cheese crumpets

These little lovelies are tasty as can be, but the cheese inevitably inhibits the crumpets' expansion, so don't be distraught if they aren't the bubbliest things you've ever encountered.

Preparation: 1 minute Serves: 4 crumpets
Cooking: 10 minutes Home-made
Ingredients Quantity (metric) Quantity (imperial)
Grated cheddar cheese 4 tbsp 4 tbsp
Mustard powder 1 tbsp 1 tbsp
Cayenne pepper 1/2 tbsp 1/2 tbsp
Water 4 tbsp 4 tbsp


        • Mix all the ingredients with the crumpet batter before cooking. 
        • Worcestershire Sauce makes a nice addition to the mix if this floats your boat.
